Test bench motors – High performance for dynamic applications
Our test bench motors offer high power density, energy efficiency, and reliable dynamic performance for demanding testing tasks with frequently changing load profiles. In the standard configuration, these motors are based on the proven technology of the asynchronous motor, renowned for robustness, reliability, and low-maintenance operation. Optional, the motors are also available as permanent magnet synchronous motors to meet particularly high efficiency requirements.
Thanks to wide field-weakening ranges and high short-term speeds, the test bench motors allow flexible operating points and precise adaptation to varying test conditions. The robust construction of the asynchronous induction motor ensures stable continuous operation as well as reliable handling of dynamic load changes and short-term peak loads.
Electrical parameters such as voltage, frequency, or control characteristics can be individually tailored to the specific test bench. This enables targeted optimization of dynamics, energy efficiency, and service life of the asynchronous motors. Additionally, mechanical adaptations such as encoders, brake systems, or special bearings allow precise integration of the test bench motors into existing test setups.
With their high thermal tolerance, flexible design, and proven construction, these motors are particularly suited for test bench applications with variable speeds, rapid load changes, and demanding operating conditions. The combination of compact design, high performance, and reliable technology makes these asynchronous induction motors an efficient solution for modern testing systems.
Technical features and design characteristics
The configuration as an AC asynchronous motor offers numerous advantages: By choosing between aluminum or copper rotors, high energy efficiency and power density are ensured. The motors deliver high torque for demanding testing tasks as well as high speeds for short-term operation, and they feature excellent overload capability. Wide field-weakening ranges allow variable speeds and precise control, even under dynamic load changes. Mechanical adaptations such as external fans, encoders, brakes, or special bearings, as well as custom rotor designs, shaft dimensions, or mounting points, enable precise integration into test bench systems. Each asynchronous induction motor can thus be optimally configured.
Optionally, the test bench motors are also available as permanent magnet synchronous motors. This version offers particularly high efficiency, precise speed control, and even more effective energy utilization, while the robust construction and high thermal tolerance ensure reliable operation even during intensive test cycles.
Thanks to their modular design and maintenance-friendly construction, all variants of the test bench motors provide exceptionally long service life, reliable operation, and cost-efficient performance – even under variable loads and dynamic testing conditions.
